Next year, LPR will turn 80 years old!

Since we were unable to celebrate our 75-year anniversary (three-quarter century!) due to global lockdowns, we would love to bring our most fanciful fantasies to life for this next edition. On this page you can find all the ways you can contribute to make our 16th lustrum unforgettable.

 

We will keep most of our plans as well as the theme a secret until the full programme is officially published in August/September, although we can already give you a glimpse here and there ;)

Contribute to the almanac

We are very curious about the favourite memories, photopraphs and stories of all Précieuskes through the generations, so please let us hear from you!

Would you rather share your stories in an interview instead of a (digital) letter? No problem!

All submissions are welcome, but we cannot guarantee that every submission will make it into the almanac for sure.

Become a volunteer

A lot needs to be done next year and we could probably use some extra hands (and wheels) for that. Because the programme is not quite fixed yet, the list is a little short and vague for now, but this will change during the lustrum year.

The “general reserves” work on a casual on-call basis. You are not obliged to take on every little task; you are simply making yourself available to be approached should we need something.

 

Wanted:

  • Chauffeurs (general reserve) - short distances
  • Chauffeurs (general reserve) - long distances*
  • Jacks-of-all-trades (general reserve)
  • Locations for activities for 20+ participants (a place you own or just a tip)
  • Stuff-draggers (porters) fo the King's Day Market on Saturday 26 April 2025

* For very long distances, a (limited) fee can possibly be discussed.

Make a donation

As much as we would like to organise everything for free, it is simply not possible. The double anniversary that we will celebrate next year promises many fun activities, unique experiences and special party locations, but also the necessary expenses. The association has, of course, been saving up and we will be selling tickets for the big activities, but any additional funds we can get would help us out tremendously.

All proceeds from all types of donations will go entirely to the lustrum celebrations. We can use them to organise extra festivities, give the anniversary ball just that little bit extra or lower the ticket prices for our activities for everyone.
So not only would you be helping us and fellow (ex-)members out, you get to enjoy the impact yourself, too ;)

King's Day market 26 April 2025

Do you have any old treasures that deserve new appreciation? Donate them to LPR to sell at the King's Day Market!

Send an email to lusco@hofdansen.nl with a description and photographs of the items you want to offer. We will pick them up from you the week before the market, or you can bring them by our "stand" yourself during the free market.

Anything that is not sold will be taken to a recycling center or the recycling centre.

 

Do you need new (old) stuff? Swing by to browse and contribute by buying something ;)

 

Although we greatly appreciate every contribution, the intention isn't for you to dump all your possessions with us, of course. We would prefer items that are in fairly decent condition and (reasonably) easy to carry, since we have to bring them to the market on foot and by bike. Not sure whether your intended contribution is a useful one? Feel free to mail us and we will check it for you ;)

Bottle desposit sponsoring

Do you have any returnable bottles or cans lying around? Donate them to LPR and we will take them away for you. You can also return your bottles yourself and simply give the desposit receipts to us.

This sponsor programme will run until June 2026 at least.

 

Conditions

You can hand in deposit receipts from all supermarket chains in Nijmegen. Concerning receipts gained outside of Nijmegen, we can only accept those from the Albert Heijn, because unfortunately receipts from other chains can only be collected on in the specific stores they were issued by.
Please send/turn in receipts from the Lidl within 30 days. Receipts from other chains can be sent/turned in within 9 months.

 

Members can hand in bottles, cans and receipts during dance class with Daan, Emma or Eva. If you hand in bottles/cans, please bring no more than 10 at a time.

Non-members can bring/send receipts in a sealed envelope to our mailbox or drop them off at one of our activities. Our postal address is:

Donate money

If you would prefer to donate money directly, that is also possible. For this you have three different options:

  1. Through the webshop you can pay fixed amounts (or combinations thereof) directly using iDeal. This can be as little as €5
  2. Through the physical donation jar that will be present at every larger LPR activity from now on, you can donate spare bills and coins.
  3. Via wire transfer you can donate a specific amount yourself. In that case, please transfer your contribution to:

Awesome bonus: if you donate at least €25.- before/during the lustrum year, you will be thanked by name in the almanac! Anonymous donations are also possible, of course.

* Completely anonymous donations can only be made in cash. If you donate “anonymously” via bank transfer or the web shop, we will be able to see who paid, but we will not use or publish this information in any way.
Non-anonymous donations are tallied per name given after all events are over and these persons all get a special place in the almanac that will be published in November 2026.
